The Villa Louis Carriage Classic is a pleasure driving show held on the beautiful grounds of the Villa Louis Historic Site in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin

We remember Elizabeth ("Betsy") Scott who passed away April 28, 2008. Betsy was a long-time supporter of the Carriage Classic. Betsy was eternally proud of her husband, Michael, and her Norwegian Fjord mare, Miss Naveta. Godspeed Betsy - you are missed by many.

Some of the social events competitors will enjoy include a catfish fry, hosted on the grounds Friday night and a prime rib dinner, wine reception, and auction held in the mansion and under then tent on Saturday. On Sunday, a special awards party is held after the final class - Concours d'Elegance.

Area lodging establishments fill rather quickly, so early reservations are suggested.

Spectators will be treated to a visual display taking them back in time to the 1800 and early 1900's. Elegantly clothed drivers seated on beautiful horse drawn vehicles, being conveyed around the grounds by immaculately groomed horses in finely polished harnesses. Singles, pairs, tandems, and four-in-hand turnouts will again grace the lawn of Villa Louis celebrating the history of the Artesian Stock Farm.
