2010 Updates

Stabling - A new stabling contract was awarded to American Stall Rentals, LLC, of Marshall, Michigan. The new temporary stalls will continue to be housed under tents, but will be approximately one-third larger than the stalls of recent history.

Classes - A new class is being added to the schedule to honor the events 30 years of carriage driving excellence. The Alumni Class will be a reinsmanship class in which competitors from the first 10 years of the event (1981-1990) are invited to participate.

The popularity of the pairs division in recent history has provided grounds to divide the pairs division into pair horses and pair ponies.

Social events - Thursday, September 9, 2010, the Carriage Classic will host the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce for an informal "Business After 5" event from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Club Tent. Competitors that arrive early are welcome to come and meet various community merchants while enjoying appetizers and refreshments.

Another fun addition will be during the Saturday evening meal. Outrageous hat awards will be distrubuted during desserts. Plan to bring your most outlandish headwear.

If you stay at a facility that does not sponsor the show - contact the manager and request that in the future, he or she do so to keep the Villa Louis Carriage Classic fiscally viable.
